Details
Hi, my name is Andrej and I will be your host. I was born in the lovely city of Novi Sad, in what was then the beautiful Yugoslavia. My family migrated to Brisbane, Australia in 1990, just months before Yugoslavia became a household name. Brisbane has been my home ever since, and I have adopted sunny Queensland as much as it’s warm people have adopted us. I took the photo in the header (above) on North Stradbroke Island, near Brisbane.
After finishing high school at Brisbane Grammar School, I started studying optometry at the Queensland University of Technology. This course literally opened my eyes to a world I hadn’t been exposed to previously. The health industry is a wonderous personal and intellectual adventure, and after becomming an optometrist, I decided to continue on to post-graduate medical school. I have recently graduated from the Mayne Medical School, at the University of Queensland in Brisbane and am now practising medicine on the Gold Coast.
This site will showcase some of my creative work from the past years, as well as give me opportunity to publish my thoughts, comments, and brief articles on topics as diverse as life, medicine and technology. If anything you read here inspires you to add something of your own, please leave a comment - I and others would love to hear from you.
I hope you enjoy your journey through these pages, and I wish you safe sailing through this marvel we call the world wide web.
Andrej
